Well what do I think about this subject? Well, the gentleman asks if a notable online article submission site can properly distribute his articles? Sure if it is well known and does well spidering in the search engines. And he states his core business is Credit Card Processing and Check Processing right? Well last time I checked every business needed to have in place a credit card processing system right? Well then why not write on all business matters and across all industries? Makes sense to me? Writing Tips - Finding A Place To Write
You’ve just plopped yourself down on the living room couch to continue working on your new novel. Suddenly, the cat runs across your lap because it’s being chased by the dog who just happens to knock your Kool-Aid all over your 100 page manuscript, ruining the whole thing. What’s that you say? You don’t have a back up copy on computer? Have to start all over and can’t remember a thing you’ve written because your blood pressure has just hit critical mass?
Time for a change in writing location.
While the above situation may be a little far fetched, the truth is, you really do need to find a place to write where you can work alone and undisturbed. This may not always be possible based on where you are living. If you’re sharing a studio apartment or even a dorm with a roomy, you’re not going to have a lot of privacy. In these cases you may want to take a ride, or a walk, to the local library. At least there you can work in peace.
If, however, you are fortunate enough to live in a big home, you still should find a room where you can be alone and undisturbed by family and friends. And even at that, there are certain things you should keep in mind when doing your writing that will greatly affect your choice of location.
For example. Let’s say you are a songwriter. Unless you write your compositions entirely on manuscript paper, you’re going to want to do your writing in the vicinity of some kind of recording equipment and even a piano or some kind of keyboard. If you play the guitar, that’s fine too. The reason you want to do this is because unless you can totally hear the music that you are writing in your head, something few people can do, you are going to want to be able to hear what it actually sounds like. By writing near a keyboard or guitar you can walk over to your instrument of choice and plunk out the tune if just to get a feel for how it is coming. You may want to make some changes that you wouldn’t have made had you not actually heard what the piece sounded like.
If you’re writing a novel, fiction or non fiction, you probably want to write in an area that has reference materials close by, such as a dictionary, encyclopaedia, thesaurus, and even a rhyming dictionary if you are writing poetry.
While this next tip may seem obvious, you want to pick a location to write in that is well lit. Trying to write in the dark is bad for your eyes. If you’re doing a lot of writing, eventually this will catch up to you. If you don’t have a room with sufficient light then buy a special lamp. You only get one set of eyes.
If you’ve been writing in a specific place for a while and find that you’re starting to get stale writing there, find a new place. Maybe if it’s a nice summer day, sit out on your front porch and write in the sunlight. You might get some real inspiration with a change of location.

7 Ways To Find Inspiration When The Muse Disappears
It happens to us all. The dreaded block turns up and try as we might, words just won’t flow. Everything we write sounds like fudge and more often than not we end up thinking we’re never going to write another word again.
As much as you may believe you’re the only one out there suffering in this way, you’re not alone. Nowhere even close to it.
What’s important is to not let it worry you. Understand that this is something that happens to a lot of writers and that as unbelievable as it may seem at the time, the muse will come back. And probably with a vengeance. You’ll have so many ideas you won’t have time to get them all down on paper!
In the meantime, there are a few things you can do to help get your creative juices flowing again. The following are seven ideas that have worked for me. I can’t guarantee they’ll work equally as well for you, but if you need to write and the pen’s not moving, they’re definitely worth a try.
1. Imagine you were a child during the era of your grandmother’s childhood. What do you imagine you would you be doing right now? If you could take one modern item back in time with you, what would it be and why? How do you imagine others would react to that item? Keep working on ideas that bring the past and the present together.
2. Try to see life through the eyes of a dog, cat or any other pet. What would make you happy? When would you feel frustrated? What matters to you? If you’re a hamster, do you mind being caged up? If you’re a dog, does it matter that your human wakes you from your comfortable bed to drag you out for a walk in the rain? Try to keep things from an animals perspective rather than making them furry humans.
3. Write a letter to ’somebody’ explaining what you’re writing about, why you’re writing it and how you envisage the end product. If you’re writing a novel, are you planning to find an agent? Will you write the whole novel first or just the first three chapters and then start sending out? If you’re writing a column, where will it be used? Tell your ’somebody’ absolutely everything that’s related to your writing project.
4. Find a picture that inspires you and write about it. You don’t necessarily need to describe the picture, rather write about how the picture makes you feel; why you feel drawn to it; what you think made the artist/photographer create that particular picture. The opposite can be done with a picture you dislike.
5. Take a newspaper or magazine and open it on a random page. Now pick a headline and write your own story around it. It doesn’t have to be the same kind of story as the original. “Men Found In Tunnel” might originally have meant illegal immigrants trying to cross the border, but your story could be about jail-breakers, coal miners or anything else your imagination throws up.
6. Go for a walk. When you get back, write about the things you saw and experienced. Remember the bird bathing in the puddle? Or the dog owner who allowed her pet to foul the street without clearing it away? Or what about the children riding bikes without helmets? Or the shop keeper standing at the doorway chatting with a couple of women? How did those things make you feel?
7. Interview a friend. He or she doesn’t have to be present - if you know them well enough, you can conduct a fictive interview. Now re-write their answers in a biographical manner.
Hopefully a few of those ideas will help you break your block. Just remember to not let it upset you too much because stress and anxiety will only add to the problem.

A Writer’s Subconscious Education
Whe I first got serious about novel writing (in High School) I took some advice from a James Michener book and wrote my rough draft from beginning to end without stopping to plan or create any kind of outline. When I went back to re-read, I could see right away that the biggest weakness of my prose was its sparseness. There was a prounounced need for me to slow down and really paint each scene, character and environment.
My challenge was thus much different from that of many writers I’d known or read about. Whereas others were generally having to cut a lot of material between drafts 1 and 2, I had to really elaborate and BUILD UP my novel. Looking back, I can see that my writing tendencies had a lot to do with the way I read.
I was an impatient reader when I was younger. I often skimmed through descriptive passages in order to get to dialogue or action sequences. As a result, character interaction and conflict were strong elements in my first few books, but my descriptive content was too thin.
Much of our education as writers occurs subconsciously. Every time we read, whether it’s articles, short stories, novels, poems or essays, we absorb so much that we don’t analyze at the time. Ever get heavily involved with reading one certain author and then find yourself having problems avoiding that author’s distinctive voice in your own writing? That’s what I’m talking about.
Among the positive influences of reading are an increased innate understanding of pacing, building mood and sustaining conflict. Another is enhanced vocabulary. I had a peculier experience with my last novel; five or six times, when struggling with a passage, I would get a word in my head that I had no conscious knowledge of the definition of. When I’d stop to look up the word I’d inevitably find that it was the most appropriate for whatever I was trying to describe.
Just in case you think I’m making this up, I’ll list the words I remember learning in this fashion: recalcitrant, ubiquitous, insouciance, and fey.
Some part of my mind had encountered these words in books somewhere, absorbed the context and other associations and filed all these impressions away in storage - all without any conscious thought on my part.

Teaching About Copyright in the Classroom
Fact #1- The “Fair Use” part of the US Copyright Law says that in most cases you can allow your students to use copyrighted material such as songs, photos, and other media as long as the finished product is not going to be reproduced and distributed.
Fact #2- In real life (outside the classroom) doing the same thing is illegal and a violation of copyright law punishable by fines and/or jail time.
Because of the latter I always recommend that teachers give their students the tools and information to complete projects using free, public domain alternatives. Say for example you assign your students to create a Power Point presentation on a specific topic. In the assignment you mandate that the presentation must include at least one graphic on each slide relevant to this topic. Rather than allowing the students to go out on the web and “steal” images from other sites, demonstrate how to find legal content during your initial presentation. Such photos and other content are easy to find, just do a Google search for “public domain photos,” or “royalty free photos,” for example. One of my personal favorites is the Stock XChange but there are many others.
Another good alternative that some schools possess is a site license subscription to a clip art service. For a flat fee schools and local area education agencies can purchase annual subscriptions to various sites which allow their students and faculty with free, legal access to thousands of copyrighted photos that can be used in most kinds of presentations without restriction. The site Clipart.com offers this type of service.
Remember, while some sites openly allow you to use their images in any publication you choose, others will restrict what you can use it for and how it can be reproduced. Always check the usage policy or copyright policy on the site before using any images or other content in a presentation. By insisting that your students follow these rules you are helping to instill a definite sense of right and wrong in regard to this very “grey” issue.

Public Speakers! Helpful Tip #3 From Your Friendly Grammar Police
I really should have said “semi-helpful” tip–actually just enough tip to scrape by with in the most-used circumstances. It’s about this business of lie and lay. You see, it’s easy when you think of it as a matter of Eggs.
Chickens LAY eggs. But I LIE down. Your friends LIE down. Your mother LIES down. And even that no-good uncle LIES down. The thing to remember here is that the only critter that LAYS is the chickenand it lays something from inside itself to outside of itself–eggs. (I really don’t think you’d want to do that, now would you?
You do not lay eggs. Probably no one in your immediate circle of acquaintances lays eggs. So, if you, your family or friends want to take a nap or read, they do not lay down to lay eggs, they all LIE down. In fact, they may be LYING all over the place, chatting, even as they’re telling the truth.
Howeverand here’s where it gets stickyif any one of you puts yourself somewhere, as on the couch or on the table or in the hammock, you LAY yourself there. You LAY a book on the shelf. I am LAYING the book on the shelf. LAY the money on the counter, would you please? You and I are LAYING the money on the counter.
We’re living in the Now here. If we move to the future, everything changes. Those of you who prefer Living In The Now may shudder at the idea of scrolling down further. I wouldn’t blame you. Perhaps after a good meal you’ll be up to the challenge.
Here goes: If I took a nap YESTERDAY, I LAY down yesterday for a nap. Everyone who wanted to take a rest LAY down last Sunday for a nap.
But before we all did, we LAID the book on the table, we LAID the money on the counter, and we LAID our papers on the table. Odd, isn’t it?
To summarize: People: RIGHT NOW we LIE down, and we ARE LYING down now, but YESTERDAY we LAY down.
Objects/Things: TODAY we LAY the book down, and I am LAYING it down here, but YESTERDAY we LAID it down somewhere and now we can’t find it.
Further than this we will not venture. Take three deep breaths and go have a beer.
